Same-Market Pair

Structural · Polymarket · Low–medium risk

What does it do?

Buy YES and NO of the same event at the same time. When both legs' combined cost is below $1 and both can be filled, the combo must theoretically redeem $1 at settlement.

Why might it work?

The return comes from the combined YES+NO quotes sitting below the eventual payout — not from guessing whether the event happens.

Simplified example

YES cost46¢
NO cost50¢
Combo cost96¢
Settles at100¢ (either outcome)

The main problem is that both legs may not fill simultaneously as planned; fees, book depth and specific settlement terms can also eat an apparently free spread.
